Remember to tune in this evening!

As you’ve probably heard, Allen West got a phone call on Wednesday morning, asking him to give the closing keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Saturday night.

West gave a brilliant and well-received speech at CPAC last year — not to mention the groundbreaking speech he gave at the concurrent “Jihad: The Political Third Rail” conference the same weekend — but his selection to fill the most coveted slot at this year’s conference, one previously filled by the likes of media superstars Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh — is a development that will significantly raise his profile in the conservative movement, and in this country.

The great thing is, everyone who hears Allen West speak realizes pretty quickly what a phenomenal person we’re dealing with.  Hence, before this weekend is over, there will be a lot more Americans who will have come to see what West to the West Wing readers already know:  This man is a true, genuine leader — and we need him as our Commander-in-Chief, the sooner the better!

C-Span will be broadcasting much of CPAC, including Allen West’s speech, which will be at 5:30 p.m. EST.  The slot is only 30 minutes, so if you want to hear/see the speech, try not to be late tuning in!

  1. A perfect 10 tonight!

See his talk with bloggers afterwards at redstate.com

  2. CSPAN is supposed to re-air West’s keynote at 10:15pm.

    • Make that 11:24 pm EST tonight, according to CSPAN website.

  3. I viewed the speech yesterday on the web. I found it to be an excellent speech, well delivered, with a clear message of Conservative ideas & determination to pursue their enactment.

Near the end of the speech, 25.08 into the video, West repeated what he has said before about identifying the enemy and defeating it. Because of the relative clarity of that portion of the speech, I have no doubt that it will draw fire. I will be listening to hear how he responds this time.
