Three things you MUST know about Islam

Every time Allen West speaks about Islam, he talks about the importance of knowing our enemy.

If you’ve seen this video before, it never hurts to solidify these concepts in your mind. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a real eye-opener.

This is probably the best in-a-nutshell treatment I’ve seen of the basic facts that every American should know about Islam.

  1. Is Mr. West a true defender of freedom and democracy? Stand up man and say that in addition to Israel having the right to exist, it ASLO should give every citizen a vote – not just the Jewish citizens. Mr. West, please publicly state that you agree to having the right of refugees to return their homes. Do you not support former European countries returning assets siezed during world war II taken from Jews? So why not here?

Mr. West won’t do this because he’s already been bought and paid for by special interests groups on the far right. Mr. West is using “popular” ideology to try and win an election. Mr. West, the “popular opinion” is not always the right right opinion. Leaders must lead despite not being liked. President Lincoln was not liked when he pushed an “unpopular” reform for the abolishment of slavery – even when people said the bible supported slavery. That is leadership.

You are no leader sir. You are an opportunist. A well spoken one. An unassuming one. The kind that rises in the still of the night to the surprise of many in the morning. I know another ideology that did the same thing. The Third Reich.

    • Sounds like you’ve bought the Leftist, anti-Semitic (but I repeat myself) propaganda, hook, line and sinker!
Arab citizens in Israel not only vote, but hold elected office in the Knesset (the Israeli parliament). See

And for general refutation of other false assertions about Israel, here’s a very good source:

I would also recommend a beautifully written book by an open-minded Israeli with a very beautiful heart: Right To Exist: A Moral Defense of Israel’s Wars, by Yaacov Lozowick. It’s very compelling, because Lozowick is a lifelong liberal and former member of Peace Now, the Israeli peace group. In this book, he tells the story of how he came to see why the Peace Now movement’s philosophy is misguided. He is a very humane and broad-minded man; I think you will be touched. And I guarantee you’ll learn some stuff you didn’t know.

Alan Dershowitz’s The Case for Israel is also very good. Fact-packed and organized by topic, though, whereas Lozowick’s is a literary masterpiece, blending history and his own personal experiences, one of those can’t-put-it-down type books.

After you read one or more of these resources, I think you’ll see that Allen West’s commitment to Israel is, like my own, an ethical one rooted in real history.
I think you are very wrong to say that commitment to Israel is a “popular” stance. It is quite the opposite, and it takes true courage to stand up for Israel when she is under constant attack by the UN, most foreign governments, the Obama administration, the universities, the media, and even many churches.
